We are currently developing a new accessible website which we hope to deliver in July.
In the meantime, please enjoy this small snippet of who we are, and what we do, on this interim site.
About Us
Incite Arts enriches the lives of all Central Australians through community-engaged arts practice that is accessible, inclusive and responsive.
Incite Arts delivers high-quality, accessible arts programs in collaboration with the communities of Central Australia, focusing on both those who are under-served and those who face barriers to arts engagement that celebrate identity, place and belonging, challenge boundaries, and inspire audiences.
Incite Arts acknowledges the Arrernte people, the traditional owners and custodians of Mparntwe (Alice Springs), where we are based, whose sovereignty was never ceded. We pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge their continuous connection and contribution to land, water, and community. We further acknowledge and pay respect to all Indigenous peoples, cultures, and countries.

Current Programs
Unbroken Land
Unbroken Land is a performative community event that provides a platform for collective community storytelling. This unique program was first presented at the Alice Springs Desert Park in 2015, and again in 2016 and 2018. The program was presented virtually in 2020 and 2021, then also screened live in 2021.
Unbroken Land is about bringing people together through community arts practice to experience diverse stories of belonging, celebrations of culture and our place in the landscape.
stArts with D
stArts with D is a performing arts program supporting artists with disability to build new skills, create, collaborate and present original performance works.
In 2013 Incite initiated the establishment of the ‘stArts with D’ Performance Ensemble, comprising 11 artists with disability as founding members. The group was formed as a response to feedback from the highly acclaimed 2011 production ‘Close to Me’. The stArts with D artists have gone on to produce powerful new works, both live and on film. In 2022 the Ensemble are focusing on creating a new multi-arts work.

Southern Ngaliya
Southern Ngaliya is a three-way intergenerational collaboration between senior Warlpiri women, Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation (WYDAC) and Incite Arts. The program facilitates ceremonial song and dance experiences for younger women from Yuendumu, Nyirripi and Willowra.
Based on trust relationships and responsiveness to direction from the senior women, the project builds a platform to collectively focus on: achieving stronger links with traditional song and dance; creating new generations fluent in the ceremonial and cultural knowledge of their parents/grandparents; strengthening of Warlpiri culture; showcasing within and beyond the region.
