Ross Park Primary School

In a project facilitated by Incite Arts, Ross Park Primary School students collaborated with artist Tamara Cornthwaite, creating a beautiful, multilayered mural for the school playground in 2025.

Established in 1961, Ross Park is the oldest operating government primary school in Alice Springs. Situated in the Old Eastside area of the town within large and well-established, shady grounds. Ross Park School is inclusive, friendly and supportive and parent, student and community feedback is highly valued. The students come from a large variety of cultural backgrounds, all of which add to the richness and diversity of the school community, and is vividly depicted in the complex layers of the art work, with students having input on content, technique and overall creation of the final image, with guidance and mentoring from Tamara.
