Meeting Place 2018

Meeting Place was the signature event of Arts Access Australia, the national peak body for arts and disability in Australia.

Meeting Place was a national forum created in 2012 to build stronger linkages and collaboration between stakeholders. Meeting Place was held annually and brings Deaf, disabled and non-disabled artists with disability together with industry leaders in an accessible and supported space, to present, perform, discuss and debate the latest in arts and accessibility.

Held at the Araluen Arts Centre in Alice Springs from 24-26 September, Meeting Place 2018 shone a spotlight on local and NT artists, Indigenous artists, and artists with learning disability.

The dynamic program featured a fusion of national and international speakers, panel discussions, practical workshops, artists-in-residences, exhibitions and more over three days, at what was the first forum to be held in regional Australia.
